How do I make a booking?

• Step 1: In the search bar, fill out your departure point, arrival point, travel dates, number of passengers, and click "Search".
• Step 2: Look through the search results and select the best flight for you.
• Step 3: Complete your passenger details and contact information.
• Step 4: Add any travel products, such as flexible travel dates or health insurance for visa purposes.
• Step 5: Select your preferred payment method and click "Pay".
• Step 6: That's it! You have now successfully made a booking.

How do I know my booking is confirmed?

You will receive a booking confirmation once you’ve successfully booked. Note that this is not the same as your electronic ticket (e-ticket), which is required to board.

Can I put a booking on hold, and for how long?

Yes, you can hold a booking, but only for a limited time. For Travelstart, holds are valid until 11 pm on the same day the booking is made.

What if the price changes after I have booked?

Prices can change at any time, so we cannot guarantee the price until payment is confirmed and the e-ticket is issued.

How do I pay for my booking?

There are three main ways that you can pay for your booking:

• Pay with Paystack (card or bank transfer)
• Bank transfer to one of our available bank options
• At our Travel Center or Airport Kiosk with cash or your ATM card

How do I pay with Bank Transfer?

On the payment page, select "Book and pay later," then choose the Travelstart bank account to pay into. Our bank details will be shown on the booking confirmation page and sent to your email.

Do you offer installment payments?

Yes, we offer a "Fly Now Pay Later" option, currently available offline. If you're interested, please call our customer care or email us with your booking reference.

How do I know my payment went through?

A success message will be displayed once you’ve completed payment via Paystack. For Bank Transfer, you’ll receive a confirmation email upon successful payment, and your ticket will be issued.

When and how will I receive my ticket?

Once we confirm your payment, your e-ticket will be emailed to the address on the booking. It may take up to six working hours. If you don’t receive it, check your details or contact us for help.

Where can I find my airline reference number to check in?

Your airline reference number is in the emailed e-ticket, next to the flight details. In our mobile app, Flapp, you can find it when viewing your e-ticket.

The Travelstart booking reference (starting with "NG") cannot be used to check in on the airline’s website.

Can I add travel insurance or lounge access to my booking?

Yes, you can add these products when booking your flight. If you’ve already booked, you can still add them by contacting us, and we’ll assist you with the addition.

Are baggage fees included in the ticket price?

Fees vary depending on the airline and the ticket type you purchased. During the booking process, be sure to check the baggage policy to see if your ticket includes checked baggage or if it’s an additional cost.

Can I purchase extra baggage after booking?

Yes, you can purchase extra baggage after booking. You can either contact us directly, and we’ll assist you with adding extra baggage, or you can reach out to the airline to arrange the additional allowance. Keep in mind that fees for extra baggage will vary by airline.

Can I change the passenger name on my ticket?

Most airlines don’t allow name changes after the ticket is issued, but it may be possible to correct a misspelling for a fee. Contact us immediately if you notice an error, preferably on the same day the ticket was issued. Service charges may apply.

Can I change the dates on my ticket?

This depends on your ticket's rules, as they vary by airline. If date changes are allowed, a Travelstart service charge will apply.

How do I cancel my booking or ticket?

To cancel before payment, email us with your Travelstart booking reference.

After payment, email us with your reference, and we’ll check if your ticket is refundable. Not all tickets are refundable, and many are only partially refundable.

Once the refund is confirmed and accepted, we’ll request it from the airline on your behalf. Refunds may take 6 to 8 weeks and will be issued to your bank account, minus administrative fees.

How do I get a refund if the airline cancels my flight?

If an airline cancels, a refund or rebooking may be offered per airline rules.

When is the best time to book a flight?

Book when you find a ticket price you can afford. We recommend booking 3 months ahead to get even lower prices, as some airlines may have more availability and cheaper rates.

How can I know the cheapest flight available?

Our website arranges flights by the lowest price for your selected date. Use the filter bar to compare prices based on departure time, stopovers, etc.
