There are no mandatory vaccinations to enter Taiwan, unless travelling from a region prone to Yellow Fever, in which case a certificate proving immunisation is required. Recommended vaccinations are for Hepatitis A & B and Japanese B Encephalitis (particularly if travelling for longer than a month between June and October). Hiring a scooter to zip around the city is a popular option among tourists, while taxis are also convenient and relatively cheap. The bus system is dominated by the BRT Blue Line, for which you’ll need an entry card.
