Make sure to get all the routine vaccinations four to six weeks before you depart from South Africa. Other diseases to beware of include hepatitis A, typhoid, hepatitis B, dengue and elephantiasis. There is no risk of yellow fever in Fiji, however, the local government requires proof of yellow fever vaccination if you are travelling from a country where yellow fever is a risk.
