El Al believes in simple and uncomplicated travel that doesn’t involve standing in long queues when you don’t have to. Make use of the El Al online check-in portal at home, via mobile, or visit any one of their kiosks located at their airports across the world.
Passengers flying Economy should check in at the airport 3 hours ahead of time, while Premium, Business, VIP and First Class passengers should check in no later than 2 hours before the flight’s scheduled departure.
For flights leaving Israel, you may even forget all about printing your flight ticket, just bring your passport and you’re good to board!
For flights leaving from Johannesburg to Tel Aviv, EL AL has an advanced check-in on a Friday afternoon for Saturday departures.
With entertainment options like no other airline, El Al is truly in a league of its own. The airline offers state-of-the-art touchscreen displays to view your latest movies and TV programmes on, as well as on-board Wi-Fi for all passengers to enjoy. This service is in the process of being installed and by 2018 will be available on all Dreamliners and the 737-900 fleet.
On board, passengers can also stream the latest blockbusters straight to their personal devices during select flight routes. To check the line-up ahead of time, make sure to download the DreamStream By EL AL app.
And if you happen to be flying from Tel Aviv to Boston, passengers are also allowed to borrow mini iPads, not only for the duration of their flight but for the rest of their stay in the city too!
El Al flies to a large selection of destinations across four continents. At conception, it was known for doing a weekly flight between El Al and Paris, and has since grown to include 56 destination that include an extensive number of European cities such as Amsterdam, Lisbon, London and more.
