China Airlines is flag carrier of the Republic of China and Taiwan’s largest airline with Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport as its main hub but operates from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. The airline flies to more than 118 destinations in more than 29 countries.
It became a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance in 2010 and in 2013, it announced its joint venture with Tigarair, the Singaporean low cost carrier to form Tigerair Taiwan. This is expected to start operation in 2014 with three Airbus A320s.
