Here are some of my Food and Fashion highlight.<\/p>\n<h2>Cake Boy and Thriller LIVE!<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42029\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42029\" style=\"width: 454px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-42029 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelstart.com.ng\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/Ozzy-agu-london.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"464\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42029\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>Image courtesy &#8211; Ozzy Agu\u00a0<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Our first stop on this mad dash of Royal treatment was Cake Boy for High Tea. It&#8217;s quite a drive from the Moxy London Stratford but time in the car gave me a chance to dream of all the possible culinary goodies I would be having. Cake Boy is located in Battersea and is run by Eric Landlard, Virgin\u2019s tea master in the sky. (And at the Heathrow Clubhouse come to think of it.)\u00a0 Well as soon as we got in it was pots, pans, basting brushes and lots of dough. My only armor was my all white Cake Boy apron. Before I could let out that this was my first time in the kitchen baking, Eric\u2019s pep talk was over with a good luck pat on the back and a &#8220;You can do it.&#8221;\u00a0 It was like the baking Olympics!! I was mixing, measuring, timing and doing my best not to burn the house down.<\/p>\n<p>When the dust settled, we were treated to a full course of delectable high tea favorites.<\/p>\n<p>I feared I was going to be rolled out of Cake Boy, I\u2019d eaten everything. But cooler heads prevailed and I walked out. Walking on, it was off to the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue where a Michael Jackson impersonator was taunting me with his gyrating flat abs and nimble kicks. His singing though was his saving grace because if it was perfect I would have walked out. I mean who do you think you are??? Michael Jackson?<\/p>\n<p>The whole experience made me wonder what it would have been like to have actually seen the King of Pop In Concert. You know&#8230;LIVE. Yes, I\u2019ve seen the VHS tapes and I\u2019ve heard stories. But I was never there. By intermission, all my questions were answered. The whole theatre was on its feet singing along to all the songs. I saw fist pumps and head bangs. High shrieks and high kicks. But no fainting. No fainting, unfortunately. The closest to that was a middle-aged English woman a few rows behind who every time Michael grabbed his groin with his\u00a0white glove and thrust his crotch back and forth, would scream feverishly, \u201cWe LOVE YOU MICHAEEEEEEEL!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now s<em>he<\/em>\u00a0sounded like she was on the verge of fainting. It was all very fervent. Under my breath, I said she should speak for herself, but by the encore, I had joined their ranks. I\u2019d become an adoring fan and obnoxious in my adoration. I remember twisting side to side, scratching the air with my claws and baring my fangs &#8217;cause this is Thrilllllleeeeeeeer!! Thriller night!! And no one&#8217;s gonna save you from the beast about to strike!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a miracle there were no injuries when we returned to our human form.<\/p>\n<h2>A trip to Windsor Castle<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42027\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42027\" style=\"width: 506px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42027\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelstart.com.ng\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/Ozzy-Agu-London-3.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"516\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42027\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>Image courtesy &#8211; Ozzy Agu\u00a0<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The anticipated Royal Wedding was a trip to Windsor Castle and a more somber experience, thank heavens. Like most, I saw the\u00a0majority of it on a tv screen. Somehow, Harry and Meghan didn&#8217;t hear my calls from all the cheers and adulation. Also, my flurry of hand signs and agitated signaling\u00a0to grant me access past the proverbial velvet rope were met with tranquil smiles. It&#8217;s a hallmark of English Royalty, you know, to be highly composed and both of them are off to a great start. I wish them continued success.\u00a0When the wedding ceremony was over, my tour of <a href=\"https:\/\/protect-za.mimecast.com\/s\/j6NnCMjX3kIWN6vTwfuNQ\">St.George<\/a>&#8216;s Chapel commenced. I witnessed the majesty of it in awe,\u00a0said a prayer and imagined Pastor Curry passionately pushing me towards Love.\u00a0It all culminated\u00a0in a\u00a0gift shop. Oh heck, the Brits have contributed so much to my economy might as well return the favor. Royal Wedding Commemorative plate: \u00a350. SOLD!<\/p>\n<p>The tour continued to Windsor Castle and I feasted my eyes on unspeakable gems in the Grand Reception Room, the State Apartments, and Queen Mary&#8217;s dollhouse. My eyes full, my legs weak, and my belly empty, I ducked\u00a0into\u00a0The Duchess of Cambridge for a pint and Sunday roast. It\u2019s an English classic and I have it on shaky authority that the Queen has it every Sunday.<\/p>\n<h2>Virgin Atlantic Base<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42028\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42028\" style=\"width: 350px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42028\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelstart.com.ng\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/Ozzy-Agu-London-4.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42028\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>Image courtesy &#8211; Ozzy Agu\u00a0<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The highlight of visiting the Virgin Atlantic base was the uniforms. After an in-depth tour of uniform designs and styles\u00a0through the 80&#8217;s, 90&#8217;s, 2000&#8217;s and the current Vivienne Westwood designs I had to try on one for size. The eye-catching burgundy suit with gray detail for the in-flight crew was my first look. It fit elegantly and paired with the gray overcoat it gave me a feeling of unbridled power. Instantly, I felt ready to win countless spitfire aerial dogfights. Somehow, permission to do so was denied. Again.<\/p>\n<p>Major thanks TravelStart and Virgin Atlantic for such an unforgettable adventure.
