  4. This interesting and key. I was happy when I came across this information . Nigerians should form the culture of celebration God’s gift of nature to us. We should include these destination to our curriculum in schools and teach Nigerians to love their country. I recently did a tourism course outside the country and we were asked to sell destinations to others by making a presentation . I honestly chose South Africa as the only African present in the class and every one present was amazed anything good could come out of Africa and they were eager to visit the place. Now that I have this information I can come out with something good about my own country next time. Let’s use what we have to get what we want. Tourism is huge around the world. At lot of people want to know what is happening around. Good job to the compiler.

    • You love travelling? Cause am so crazy about that

  11. I am of the opinion that Ikogosi Warm Spring in Ekiti State should be in the top ten. God has blessed us with natural riches across the country. We should all be grateful to Him.

Also note that ogbunike cave is in anambra state, not enugu state as you stated above.God bless nigeria.

  16. Please include the historic KUSUGU WELL in Daura town, the ancient GOBARAU MINARET and MIDDLE SCHOOL in Katsina, Katsina State. Ther are many Tourist sites, old and modern, across the State. 24. woww I know where to spend my holidays

  25. Lovely places to be Nigeria, an eye opener on how to give my family a holiday trip.

  26. Too much focus on oil and petroleum exploitation/development and exports has robbed Nigeria and Nigerians of the vast tourist opportunities and foreign exchange earning potentials of these featured magnificent tourist sites.
The sites are not being sufficiently preserved, maintained, and promoted by the federal, state and local governments. Inasmuch as the pictures are beautifully rendered, one will be shocked, on visiting some of these sites, at the blight and palpable neglect these tourist attractions have suffered. I have visited some a few of these sites. I am very intrigued to see even more.
in the mid 1990’s, I had visited the Yankari National Park in Bauchi state. As pristinely scenic and majestic as this nature preserve may have seemed, it was very poorly maintained and administered compared to the gorgeous Safari/National Parks of East and Southern Africa, like the Masai Mara National Park of Kenya.
The smaller African countries of Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, or even Gambia out-earn Nigeria in tourism.
As we contemplate economic and resource diversification, the Nigerian government and authorities should do more to harness the free and limitless opportunities that abound in local tourist attractions – by simply preserving, maintaining, and better promoting these hallowed and beautiful sites, many of which, frankly, have been left to rot.

    • You stole the words right out of my mouth.
Am trying to figure out how to influence black Americans to visit Nigeria.

  27. Well done! I hope the Ministry of Culture and Tourism knows all this and would work hard to internationally showcase the ones yet to be seen the world. Meanwhile, Ogbunike Cave in Oyi LGA of Anambra State and not in Enugu

  28. I love my country. God Bless Nigeria!
