Best time to visit Changchun

The best time to visit Changchun is in winter, particularly in January and February, the coldest months of the season. Snow covers the expanse, and trees stand like bleached pyramids. Fall in love with the art of snow and ice when you go skiing, ice-skating or ice boating, and even engage in snow-sled tourism activities. In addition to the brief high temperatures in July and August (autumn), the weather is mild and pleasant. The climate is suitable for travel and outdoor activities during these months. Summers (September through October) are usually short and considerably warm, with temperatures ranging in frequencies from 23 degrees Celsius to 27 degrees Celsius. Changchun is located in the central part of Songliao Plain in Northeast China, covering a total area of 20,571 square kilometres. As the capital of Jilin Province, it is the second largest city in Northeast China and the political, economic and cultural centre of the province.
