Chad is a landlocked country located in Central Africa, bordered by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest and Niger to the west. Chad’s Cuisine

The food is highly influenced by the traditional cooking practices of the Sahara region. The dish consists mainly of sorghum, millet and rice. Don’t forget to try one of its tastiest dish, the peanut sauce. If you like, there is an opportunity to learn how to prepare African-French dishes. Best time to visit

The best time to visit Chad is when the temperatures are around 20-25 degrees Celsius with barely any chance of rain. In March/April, the temperature rises above 45 degrees Celsius making travel quite uncomfortable. In June to September, there is heavy rain making the road almost impassable. Therefore it’s advisable to go between November and May.

  1. Hi! I loved your article, and great photos! One thing though, at number 7: Moundou is not home to the Ngambri people but the Ngambay! Ngambris are from Australia, so I think you might have made just a little typo.
    I went to Chad last year and unfortunately only could go to the South, but I still loved it! Hope I’ll be able to go the the north next time!
