  15. I’m curious: to get to either Zanzibar or Mombasa, you’d have to go through either Kenya or Tanzania. Does this mean you don’t need a visa for either country?

    • Just book your flight online or from Kenya Airlines, Ethiopian Airways etc.. You don’t need no visa for transits..

    • you are a transit passenger soyou don’t need a visa because you will not actually leave the airport and be on official Kenyan or Tanzanian ground.

  16. I had visited Ghana during 17th commonwealth trade fair and it was great only the hotel bill was a bit very expensive. No too much continental food the Accra town is beautiful but place like circle is too busy. Cotonou is well set especially their road network whereby motorcycles and vehicles have their different road networks with cheap foods. I prefer Lome in Togo especially hotel st.Fabrice in Lome.

  20. Nigerians don’t go on “vacation”, they go “shopping”. A huge difference.

Ever seen a Nigerian back-pack with just a few pants and shirts anywhere? Worse, on the way back, they shop like there is absolutely nothing back home. Next time you see them at Anywhere-Lagos flight, call me a liar if you can :-)))

For the records, I actually travelled to a few of those lovely overlooked destinations in my Nigeria college days.

    • Hahaha… Hey Rotimi.. I kinda agree with you there. We are peculiar people. However, some Nigerians have changed their mindset about that– some now understand why vacations are important.

    • I totally agree with you, but still there a few Nigerians who understand the benefits of such trips. Wait first sef, travelling out of Nigeria is another case, Nigerians haven’t visited enough cities within Nigeria sef. I was in Calabar recently, took some pictures and some friends never believed I was in Nigeria. It’ll take time, but we’ll get there.
